We had a super day this past Sunday at Valinor!
Ally Krohg rode Kristen Krohg’s Curious George in the Training and had a super 5th place finish. They have been working so hard to put some great pieces together since this winter and it is really fun to see their success. I had the privilege of riding the Krohg’s Rocky again and this time he stepped up and did the Modified. He was foot perfect over a solid track to finish 3rd. He has just grown so much this winter, and I’m excited for his next steps in life! Was honored to help Madison Blodgett again and watched her put in another solid finish at Training to finish 6th. Kara Fortier came down from Maine and made her move up to Novice. She and Sprocket are such a pair and it’s fun to watch them figure it out together! And last but not least, was glad to help Beezee Honan in the intro with her mare Rosie. While their day didn’t go to plan I know she will be out there again soon and even better!
The team at Valinor once again put on a great day for all of us. They have done an incredible job continuing to improve their property and give us in Area 1 solid, well-thought out courses at all the levels. Thank you to the Risso family and their team for always a great day!
We head to the Horse Park of New Jersey up today for our last event in June. We have crammed a lot into our month with shows and this is something I tend not to do with the horses, but this particular group is benefiting from staying in the game for these few weeks. They will have a nice break after NJ! Finding the balance of shows, training, and rest is always important!
On to the next!
